The Wireless Button Programmer works with our new ESL Buzzer wireless buttons: a small USB receiver plugs into your computer, and up to 8 wireless buttons talk to it – no cables across the room. Program every button with its own key or shortcut, just like the USB Button Programmer.

📡 Wireless Technical Details

  • Frequency band: 2.4 GHz ISM band (2.400–2.4835 GHz), licence-free
  • Channel: one fixed channel, set at the factory (128 channels available in the radio)
  • Transmit power: low power, max +12 dBm – the button only transmits for a split second when pressed
  • Not Wi-Fi or Bluetooth: it never joins your network and needs no internet, passwords or drivers
  • Pairing: every button has its own built-in ID – the receiver only accepts the buttons paired to it, so several sets can work in the same building
  • Error checking: every wireless message is checked; damaged messages are ignored, so there are no false presses
  • Antennas: receiver has a 12 cm external 2.4 GHz antenna; the button's antenna is built in
  • Range: rated 90 m (295 ft), tested 100% at 100 m (328 ft) outdoors; walls and metal reduce range indoors
  • Power: button runs on 2 x AA batteries with automatic sleep; receiver is powered by USB

The Wireless Button Programmer is still in testing. It works with ESL Buzzer wireless buttons only – it will not program our wired USB buttons (use the USB Button Programmer above for those).
