📥 Installing Is Easy
After you order you receive your download and your personal licence code, made for your name (or business) and email address.
On Windows
- Download and run the installer.
- Choose where to install — no admin rights needed for most apps.
- Open the app from the desktop or Start menu.
- Type in your name, email and licence code.
- Plug in your buzzers and play!
On a Mac
- Download and open the file (.dmg).
- Drag the app into your Applications folder.
- Open it — the first time, macOS may show a short “Verifying…” message. That's normal.
- If asked, click Allow so the app can save your games in Documents.
- Type in your name, email and licence code, plug in your buzzers and play!
Mac Keyboard Tips
- Full screen: Control + Command + F (F11 shows the desktop on a Mac)
- F-keys on a MacBook: hold fn and press the F-key
- Quit: Command + Q
- Buzzer keys 1–10, Space, R and W work exactly as on Windows
❔ Questions & Answers
Do the buzzers work on a Mac?
Yes. Our wired buzzers and USB buttons work like a keyboard, so every Mac and Windows PC recognises them straight away — no drivers, no setup. The first time you plug them into a Mac, a “Keyboard Setup Assistant” window may appear; just close it.
Will it work on my new Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2, M3, M4)?
Yes. Every Mac app is a universal app that runs natively on Apple Silicon — no Rosetta needed — and on Intel Macs too.
Will macOS show a security warning?
No. Our Mac apps are signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so they open normally. The very first launch may show a short “Verifying…” message while macOS checks the app.
Is the Mac version the same as the Windows version?
Yes — the same game, the same features and the same game files. Choose the version that matches your computer when you order.
Do I need the internet to play?
No. Everything runs on your own computer. There is no account and no subscription, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
How do I connect my Mac to a TV or projector?
Use an HDMI cable. Newer MacBooks have USB-C ports, so you may need a USB-C to HDMI adapter. The players' screen opens full screen on the TV while you control the game from your Mac.
Can I run two of the apps at the same time?
Run one at a time. Lockout! and Buzz Board use the same connection inside the computer, so quit one before opening the other.
What if the app doesn't start?
Our apps show a clear message explaining what went wrong. Send us the message (and the log file it mentions) by email and we'll help you get going.
